Today the Year 2 began to think about the journey of the wood louse. The children discussed habitats and what plants and animals need in order to survive in their habitat. They considered the type of habitat a wood louse would need.
The children then made their own choice chambers which allowed the wood louse to explore different conditions in their habitat. The chamber which the wood louse eventually settled in contained the most suitable conditions for its habitat. The children found out that wood lice preferred
to have a dark and damp habitat.
